'Zine Workshop Fri. June 19, 4-6 pm

A teacher from Zootown Community Arts will be coming to the MPL Young Adult Writers' Group on Friday, June 19 to talk about 'zines and help us create our own 'zine filled with our own work. Whether you're a regular in the Writers' Group or not, feel free to come and bring words and images to help us assemble a brand new, one-of-a-kind, rockin' sockin' 'ZINE! (By the way, a 'zine is just a homemade, self-published or distributed literary/art magazine or booklet.) We're in our regular Writers' Group spot in the Small Meeting Room downstairs. See you from 4:00 till 6:00 on Friday!! (We have snacks!)

Altered Books Workshop June 27

This is your first alert for the Altered Books Workshop on Saturday June 27, 2:00 till 4:30 in the Large Meeting Room at the Library. We have books, art materials, music, lots of snacks, and people of all ages gathered together to take books that we're ready to discard and turn them into art. It is a kick and some amazing creations emerge. As before, we'll display the creations on the next First Friday Art Walk, July 3, and invite spectators to vote on their favorites in the kids category, teens category, and adults category. Winners will receive some nice prizes. Join us and make art and have a blast.
